This was the first time in 5 years that my wife and I have been away without having to chase home to use our dialysis machine.
The staff were absolutely brilliant.
From keeping in touch before we arrived on holiday, and checking all the paperwork was in place.
On dialysis days, we arrived and there was no waiting for machines, but straight on.
They allowed my wife to do the needling, and administering my medication.
They supplied us with drinks and of course as most dialysis patients know….Toast and Marmalade!

“I have been going to KC Dialysis Unit for 10+ years. I’m one of those patients that is very unsure about going somewhere different from my unit, and having someone that didn’t know about needling my graft. But from the moment I first went all those years ago, they have made me feel relax and I feel confident in them needling my graft.
The unit is family run. I started there when it was mostly husband & wife Chris & Geraldine.
But Chris has now taken a back step and his son Kishan does most of the running still with his mum. Although Chris has eased off working, he still pops in to say hello to me (then goes to dad to chat about racing.. lol)
They make you feel so welcome, they offer tea & biscuits
I didn’t want dialysis to stop me from going on holiday, and since I found KC I was able to continue with my yearly (& more) holidays.
They are love, friendly, trustworthy family.
I owe them a lot as they have gained my trust, considering I as so nervous that very first day all those years ago. Even last year Kishan got me to needle myself… granted I only did it the once, but I’ve not even tried that at my own unit in Buckinghamshire.. So it show how much trust I have in Kishan & his family.
To me they are like family to me.
Also if you have no transport then don’t worry they offer accommodation flat next door, and the beach (which is lovely) is in a 5min (or less) walking distance.
